Corpus Index

Browse and search your entire knowledge base from a single unified index.

Corpus Index

The central browsing interface for your entire knowledge base — documents, notes, parsed conversations, and extracted outputs all accessible from one searchable, filterable index.

Core Capabilities

Search Filter Preview
Full-text and semantic search across every source type in your corpus. Faceted filtering by source type, date range, topic cluster, and custom tags. Contextual previews with surrounding material visible before you open.

The Problem We Solve

"I can't find that note I wrote three weeks ago"

You remember the idea — not the filename, not which tool it's in, not what folder it lives in. The Corpus Index searches across everything in your knowledge base by content, not just metadata.

"My searches only work in one app at a time"

Notes in Obsidian, documents in Google Docs, AI conversations in exported JSONs — each has its own search. The Corpus Index eliminates this fragmentation. One query searches everything.

"I need to browse, not just search"

Sometimes you don't know the query. You need to browse by topic, by date, by source type. The Corpus Index supports both directed search and exploratory navigation with faceted filters.

How It Works

  1. Index — Every source entering the corpus is automatically indexed: text content, metadata, entity references, topic cluster membership, and extraction status
  2. Search — Type a query and get results ranked by relevance across all source types simultaneously
  3. Filter — Narrow results by source type (document, conversation, note, extraction), date range, topic cluster, or custom tags
  4. Preview — Each result shows a contextual preview with the matching passage highlighted and surrounding material visible
  5. Navigate — Click through to the full source via the Source Browser with all context preserved

What We Deliver

  • Full-text search across all source types — documents, conversations, notes, and extractions
  • Semantic search that finds conceptually related material, not just keyword matches
  • Faceted filtering by source type, date range, topic cluster, and custom tags
  • Sort by relevance, date, size, or topic cluster membership
  • Quick preview with surrounding context — no need to open documents to find what you need
  • Direct navigation to related material via Entity Links
  • Live index updates as new material enters the corpus — no manual reindexing

Integration with Other Features

The Corpus Index draws material from and connects to every part of the platform:

  • Source Browser — Click any index result to view with full context
  • Topic Clusters — Filter or browse the index by cluster membership
  • Entity Links — Navigate from index results to linked entities across the corpus
  • Import Queue — New imports appear in the index the moment they're processed
