Source Browser

Navigate individual sources with full surrounding context, linked entities, and related documents.

Source Browser

Deep navigation into individual documents, conversations, and notes — with surrounding context, linked entities, and related material displayed alongside the primary text. Read anything without losing sight of its connections.

Core Capabilities

Context Navigation Provenance
Surrounding messages, linked entities, and related documents displayed alongside primary text. Breadcrumbs linking to topic clusters, collections, and the knowledge graph. Inline indicators showing extraction status and verification state.

The Problem We Solve

"Every document viewer shows one file in isolation"

You open a note and lose sight of the conversation it came from, the research it references, and the related documents that extend it. Source Browser keeps the broader corpus visible alongside whatever you're reading.

"I need to see where this information came from"

When reading extracted or synthesised content, you need to verify the source. Source Browser shows inline provenance indicators — was this extracted? Has it been verified? Where does the claim originate?

"Switching between documents breaks my reading flow"

Opening a reference in a new tab loses your context. Source Browser displays related documents, entity links, and topic connections in a contextual sidebar without navigating away from the primary text.

How It Works

  1. Open — Navigate to any source from the Corpus Index, a Topic Cluster, or a graph node
  2. Read — The primary document renders with full syntax highlighting for code and mathematical notation
  3. Explore — The contextual sidebar shows related documents, topic cluster membership, linked entities, and conversation threads
  4. Trace — Inline provenance indicators show extraction status, verification state, and source chain
  5. Navigate — Click any entity, reference, or related document to bring it into the primary view without losing position

What We Deliver

  • Full document rendering with syntax highlighting for code and mathematical notation
  • Entity highlighting with click-through to Knowledge Graph nodes
  • Contextual sidebar showing related documents, conversation threads, and topic cluster membership
  • Inline provenance indicators showing extraction status and verification state
  • Navigation breadcrumbs linking to topic clusters, collections, and the graph
  • Split-view option for side-by-side document comparison
  • Reading position persistence — return to where you left off

Integration with Other Features

  • Corpus Index — Click any search result to view in the Source Browser
  • Entity Links — Highlighted entities link to all occurrences across the corpus
  • Evidence Panel — Compare extracted outputs with their original source context
